BMW claims they made this to show off the new illuminated kidney grills. I’ve always said “black is a good color for ugly cars.” They’ve taken that idea to the next level and attempted to just make it invisible.

That’s not a grille . Grilles have holes in them for ventilation. What KITT has is a decorative headlight. F Bodies in general don’t really have grills.

I wish they’d photograph it using a vantablack background. And unplug that stupid grille. Then it might be attractive. I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but where’s Chris B angle when you need him? Or is he the root cause of this madness?

How long before Audi jumps onto this dumb illuminated grille trend? How about Lexus illuminating that whole spindle thing with fiber optics? I can see the next luxury car war now - who has more lumens beaming forth from their tacky, ugly , tasteless grille...

Go od as a concept not for production. Black cars are already hot enough . If I am correct that surface gets hot just  in regular light. I dont want to touch it in direct sunlight
